Digital Leaders

At St. Martins we have recently appointed a team of ten Digital Leaders. Their role is to share their ICT skills with others, engage in new technologies, develop their own skills and the skills of others, to ultimately enhance ICT at St. Martins.

After introducing the children to the idea of a team of Digital Leaders in an assembly, interested children completed an application form and were then shortlisted for an interview. The successful children started their roles as digital leaders last term.

Every Wednesday the digital leaders attend an ICT club, lead by Miss Rowland and Mrs Carter. During these weekly sessions the children will be developing their ICT skills using different software and hardware and will become an expert in a chosen ICT area. The Digital leaders will then invite other children to come along to workshops and they will share their expertise and skills with them.

The digital leaders are currently leading workshops for Year 1 and Year 4 children teaching them about creating E-cards and using the online presentation program, Prezi.

Check the learning platform and school website to find out about forthcoming workshops that the digital leaders will be running.
